All Council and EPA issues were considered and incorporated in planning for the project and following receipt of a development approval the building and surrounds were constructed and commenced operation. Subsequently a rival operator proposed a similar venture in the immediate catchment area. CadCon Surveying and Town Planning Sunshine Coast, successfully joined Council as a respondent against refusal of the proposal by Council. Grounds argued and accepted by the court included site suitability and ultimately need. CadCon provided the significant majority of background research used in the court action and successfully liaised with and coordinated expert witnesses.
